Kenya's First lady Margaret Kenyatta was on Monday praised for advocating higher healthcare for women and children in the country.
United Nations Children’s Fund Global Executive Director Henrietta Fore said she merits commendation for her work.
Ms Fore stated her agency is ready to associate with the first lady in galvanising help for maternal, newborn and child healthcare through the beyond zero initiative, a rallying call for policy prioritisation and formulation in the health sector released in 2014.
"You are a great role model with the right spirit and we would really like you to consider being our global champion for maternal and newborn health through the Organization of African First Ladies Against HIV/AIDS (OAFLA)," Ms Fore stated.
Kudos
